Question by Espi: is there any way i can turn my COMPUTER KEYBOARD into a beat maker? almost like a piano?

I want to screw around and try making some hip-hop type beats, but I can’t buy an actual beat pad or sampler right now. I wanted know if there is a download I can get somewhere that allows me to re-create the same type of thing on a computer keyboard?

Yes you can use sonic producer. I downloaded it from this site. Its a software like fruity loops. It has everything that fruity loops offers as well as 8 pad drum machine that you can use with your mouse or keyboard.

Check out soundclick.com when I use to rap I would download beats from there. Most producers let you use they beats for non profit use but you can buy rights to them or have custom ones made. Search for Mister KA he’s a favorite.

Question by Alex: Is there a version of Garage Band that is geared towards more rap/hip-hop music?
I have a Mac laptop which of course comes with Garage Band, and because I write music this comes in handy. However I am starting to write music with more of a rap/hip hop sound and I am looking for a version of Garage Band (maybe an attachment?) or some similar program that is geared towards that sound, like when it comes to the loops and stuff that they offer, since the version I have is more rock/blues oriented.
Any suggestions?

Cause it’s just a MIDI controller, and it doesn’t have any built in sounds. GarageBand’s “Hip-Hop Kit” is terrible and I’d like to be able to record some rap beats. Any ideas?

I remember dancing to it at middle school dances and stuff. It was a cumbia rhythm song, but for a few seconds here and there would bust out into a fast hiphop like beat and then everyone would go back to the cumbia. I can not for the life of me remember what it was called, but it’s been bugging me. All help is appreciated!!!

There are plenty of software for creating music (editing, recording, mix, mastering).
But the most popular software “STEINBERG CUBASE 5″.
I use cubase two years and I suggest you download the guide “VTC MasterClass Cubase 5 Recording and Mastering” .
