    ran low on words. Are are the layers for the kick panned strait in the center with only short early reflections creating the stereo field then? I’m shocked to hear early reflections on a kick as I don’t believe it’s a common thing to do, but it indeed sounds very good. Do you know of a way to cycle between different wave files on your hard drive while a specific pattern you’ve created with beat designer is triggering them to play in real time within your mix? Thanks for the help!

    on 11th Oct, 11 04:10am

    @YummyBeatsClips yes i am aware that delaying one of the channels induces phase issues, thats why i asked you whatchya did ; ). That piano must have been recorded in stereo cuz it sounds too natural to create such a dry sounding stereo field like that from a mono sample. That kick is indeed a champion, so are the claps. I’m guessing it took you a great deal of layering to get it..especially for the clap

  28. YummyBeatsClips

    on 11th Oct, 11 04:10am

    @jditmer0 To be honest, I don’t know if this mix is mono compatible since it was more like a rough mix. The mix on our website however should be mono compatible. To get a great stereo try to not put delays or stereo enhancers on every track cause this leads to phasing problems. However for a great natural stereo wideness you would need some short delays, reverberation, or even stereo enhancers but always watch your correlation meter in the stereo sum. In this song also the kick helped a lot.

  29. jditmer0

    on 11th Oct, 11 05:10am

    is this mix mono compatible too? The stereo sounds very nice, but I can’t tell if your just delaying one of the channels or not, what exactly are you doing to get that nice stereo field?

    @KingBrown101 you mean the “Free Instruments 1″? That’s odd, I just checked it and it seems to work. (However the free instruments are for our previous video tutorial)
    But if it still doesn’t work contact us via yummybeats. I can send you another link then.

    @remusjacobs First, the most important tools are your ears. No plugin can replace them. Considering plugins: it always depends on the song. Also the plugins I use don’t have to work for you as well. So you should always set up your own pallet. Great plugins e.g. are Bomb Factory, UA, Waves, Cubase plugins, Logic plugins, TK Multimedia and many more. Also look out for unknown developers. Unknown doesn’t have to mean that they are bad. In fact, it’s mostly quite the opposite.

    on 11th Oct, 11 11:10am

    which plugins do you use to make it sound good when mixing?

  40. PdubzCrew

    on 11th Oct, 11 11:10am

    @YummyBeatsClips
    thank you for the answer. Your beats are crazy dope too.

  41. YummyBeatsClips

    on 11th Oct, 11 12:10pm

    @PdubzCrew
    - Just hit F11 and load your instrument into an empty slot.
    - Create a new midi track set the midi channel to 1 and connect the midi track to your instrument.
    - Again create a new midi track set the midi channel to 2 and connect the midi track to your instrument
    …and so on

    Quick question. How do you use multiple instruments in a vst but only opening one vst ? like example hypersonic is a workstation vst. I only want one open but I want to use multiple instruments out of it

    i use DubTurbo to create my beats. its very good and easy to use music production software.

    download it here: ——>bit(DOT)ly/ioPlBW<—–- (replace DOT with”.”)

    @YummyBeatsClips

    Oh of course I agree. I was just pointing out the reason a lot of songs will ‘sound’ like others. Especially when they’re quite stripped down.

  46. YummyBeatsClips

    on 11th Oct, 11 02:10pm

    @deathglow Haha, great video, but to me a song is more than just chords. Above all what makes a song really interesting is the sounding itself (instruments), the interaction (arrangement) and how the chords are built and how they harmonize again with the instruments. Or in other words I think all nice sounding harmonies are already taken in some song but music still isn’t getting boring at all.

  47. deathglow

    on 11th Oct, 11 03:10pm

    @PastorJayJay

    Yeah, this is a standard I – V – vi – IV progression, used in many pop and rock songs.
    Look up Axis of Awesome – Four Chords (on youtube).

    on 11th Oct, 11 03:10pm

    @Luvaboi92 hmm, I don’t know exactly which synth sounds you mean? Because the Bass is the only synth used in this song. However the bass is also included in the “Hip Hop Instruments 1″ sample library . You might have to put it more to the front during the mix and change some EQ settings.
    BTW: also all other instruments within the final beat are the same as used in the tutorial and included in the “Hip Hop Instruments 1″. They have just been mixed a little.

  50. Luvaboi92

    on 11th Oct, 11 04:10pm

    Okay please tell me how to make those synth sounds and/or where I can get anything similar sounding from!? Those sounds are in the final beat but not in your demo which is the part I was waiting forr :(
