My boyfriend loves hip-hop/rap…basically anything with good beats… (sage francis, wu-tang, the roots, Cunninlynguists, immortal technique, etc.) and I like indie and basically anything with good lyrics and kind of cheesy ( postal service, mgmt, stereolab, etc) I need songs that meld good beats and good lyrics… any ideas?

i’d like the lyrics to mean something about relationships. not just a meld of the styles of music we listen to. but a message from me to him.
